Climbing, Japanese Study and other Sundry things

Hi, and welcome to my little refuge on the tangle they call the internet.  I don't have a lot special here, I just want to share a little of my interests and hobbies around with those who might be interested.

If you are family or a friend, feel free to download and print the pictures (the quality is deliberately low for faster download times however). To others, well if you really want my pictures, you can just take them, but I would prefer it if you ask me.  I do not give permission to use my photos for and commercial purposes.
The climbing section is going to be scant for a long time until I can get some more of my climbing photos from Canada out here.  Then, of course, I have to scan them.

The Japanese section I hope will grow little by little each month, but it is starting very small.

Some of you may not be interested, but I am posting a little bit of my better half, and her name is Chiaki.  We are got married on June 14th of this year.

Well, I have come to the end of the first term of the year without any major mishaps, but a lot of small things have happened along the way.  Getting used to living with another person is interesting now that my wife has moved in with me.   She went to New Zealand in her own and had an exciting time there.    I saw her photos.

'Living with a person in a marriage is very interesting, but it doesn't feel all that different', is what I had posted a while ago, but now, I can say it is different.  Thinking about how another person feels all the time, trying to accommodate them without compromising oneself too much.  Very different from single life.  You cannot be selfish.

I am also getting into the final stages of my formal Japanese studying..  It is nice having made the decision to stay in Japan, because now I have lots of my things here and I can use them.  For instance, I have dug out my Japanese Kanji flash cards and am getting back into a formal study of them (a bit).

Check out my Japanese pages if you are interested.
